5 ways to take care of your uterus
In the course of our lives, we are confronted with a multitude of changes, positive and negative experiences and needs. In general, we'll think about taking care of ourselves through immunity, modifying our environment to feel at home, or making a fresh start. But who really thinks about taking care of their uterus?
As a woman, our uterus is one of our most precious organs. Firstly, because it's our energetic bedrock, where all our vitality is to be found, but also because it's a reflection of our health.
I'm going to share with you 5 principles to keep in mind when caring for your uterus. These principles will also have an impact on your overall being/well-being. If you want to live life to the fullest, take note, these rules will change your life.
Before going any further, if you don't know me, I'm Hélène, Holistic Traditherapist. I specialize in uterine, intestinal and general health care, and my aim is to sublimate your Being through energies, nutrition, phytotherapy and much more.
No.1: Herbal care
In my opinion, herbal medicine should be an integral part of everyone's life, but especially of the lives of women. There are thousands of plants capable of adapting to all our needs. We can use them internally to help our bodies function better, or externally, through masks, poultices, steam baths etc....
There isn't a single pathology for which a plant isn't suitable. In short, everything you need is in nature.
I'm going to share with you 5 plants and roots to have in your medicine kit as a woman to take care of your uterus. You can use them in infusion or decoction, but also in intimate steam baths for your energetic care and purification of your vaginal and uterine sphere.

Finally, the more you get into the habit of self-care, the more receptive your uterus will be to signals for self-care and self-regeneration.

No.2: Managing stress and emotions
What an important point...
Everything you feel and think about leaves an imprint on you. We have thousands of thoughts every day, and your emotional state sets the tone for your entire being. Emotions have a direct impact on 2 areas:
- Hormonal dysfunctions : Cortisol spikes lead to dysfunctions in both estrogen and progesterone levels. Cortisol can accentuate or inhibit your hormone levels, but it can also create inflammation and accentuate aches and pains and/or metabolic dysfunctions. You absolutely must take your emotions into account for the health of your uterus, just as you would for your immunity or your intestinal microbiota.
- Intensity of pain and pathologies: If you have endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, cysts and other uterine pathologies, your emotions have an impact on the development of your pathologies, your pain and, of course, your healing.
3 simple, actionable tips to reduce stress
- Journaling : Underrated in my opinion, but really important for your development. You need to put down on paper what's on your mind. This will give you space and make you feel better on many levels. You can't think, you can't step back, you can't introspect... With a cluttered brain, it's impossible to make the best decisions for yourself, your well-being and your health.
- Sort it out: Sort out the people around you, change your environment, or at least do as much as you can to create this opportunity. You need to surround yourself with people who have a good influence on you. This means your family, your friends, your colleagues... but also the people you follow on your networks. It doesn't matter if you're misunderstood, do what's best for you.
- Creativity: I could have mentioned physical activity as my 3rd point, but I want to focus on creativity. Developing your creativity will literally allow you to release tension and emotions. It can be drawing, painting, crocheting, pottery, photography, video editing, writing a book or playing an instrument. Give free rein to your creativity and nourish your Being in a new way.
N°3: Energy care
Energy healing is essential to maintain the balance of your uterus. In various articles, I've talked about the fact that your uterus contains your energetic base. It contains all your memories, as well as those of your ancestors. Your joys, sorrows, happy moments or traumas are anchored there. So it's important to have regular treatments to help you unburden yourself of energies that don't belong to you, and ensure that you're in control of your own Being.
Your energies are shaped by your family patterns, your traumas, the environment in which you live, etc...
I'll be doing a dedicated article on this soon, to explain why it's your responsibility to protect/preserve yourself to build the best you can.
But if you're intrigued, the masterclass " Uterus - How to detach from energies that don't belong to you " is available to take you step by step. And if you want an insight into the impact of transgenerational traumas on your energies, watch this ITW on the channel of the magnificent Nitsa Natyrelhapy
So as not to leave you wanting more, here are 5 ways (explored in depth in the masterclass) to unload your uterus and protect yourself:
- Yoni steam - Intimate steam bath
- Energy shower
- Meditation externalization
- Fumigation
- Crystals and yoni egg

N°4: The 4 seasons of your cycle
Understanding the 4 seasons of your uterus will enable you to take the best possible care of it, giving you everything you need.
My explanation of the seasons corresponds to a 28-day cycle, i.e. 4 weeks. It's important for me to tell you that it's OK to have cycles longer or shorter than 28 days. Even on a 40-day cycle, you'll experience all 4 seasons. If your cycle is different and you have any questions on this subject, don't hesitate to leave me a comment below this article. I'm here to help you build a better you, so don't hesitate.
Before explaining further, here's what the seasons correspond to:
Winter - The menstrual phase (Days 1 to 5 approx.)
- Beginning of cycle when menstruation starts
- Elimination of the uterine lining
- Energy is low, need for rest and introspection
- It's a good time to slow down, listen to your body and refocus.
Spring - The follicular phase (Days 6 to 14 approx.)
- Ovaries begin to produce estrogen
- Energy rises, mood improves
- Ideal time to start new projects and be active
- It's a time when you often feel more sociable and motivated.
Summer - The ovulatory phase (Days 14 to 18 approx.)
- Ovulation occurs: estrogen and testosterone peak
- Energy and confidence at their peak, libido on the rise
- Ideal for communication, creativity and action
- Optimum time to make important decisions
Autumn - The luteal phase (Days 19 to 28 approx.)
- Progesterone increases, preparing the uterus for a possible pregnancy
- The body slows down, emotions are more intense
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD): fatigue, irritability, cravings, depressive phase, etc.
- Ideal for refocusing, but avoid making major decisions
By understanding the rhythm of your seasons, you'll be able to adapt the care you give your uterus and your whole body. In terms of nutrition, you'll be able to strengthen, stimulate and protect your uterus; in terms of care, you'll be able to heal and soothe your ailments... You'll simply be able to anticipate your needs, so that you no longer suffer the consequences of hormonal imbalances or uterine pathologies.
N°5: Nutrition and the uterus
We end this article with nutrition and its positive impact on your uterus.
Here are the 3 main keys to optimizing care for your uterus. They are suitable for all women.
Adopt an anti-inflammatory diet
The uterus is sensitive to inflammation. It aggravates conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, cysts and PCOS. To protect it :
- Eat foods rich in antioxidants: red fruits, green vegetables, turmeric, ginger, etc.
- Focus on omega-3s: flaxseed, chia, walnuts, camelina oil
- Reduce pro-inflammatory foods: refined sugar, dairy products, ultra-processed foods
Balance your hormones naturally
The uterus functions in direct relation to hormonal balance. To support this balance :
- Choose cruciferous vegetables that help eliminate excess estrogen: broccoli, cabbage, kale, etc.
- Incorporate seeds in rotation to accompany the different phases of the cycle: seed cycling.
- Avoid endocrine disruptors: plastics, pesticides, food additives
Support liver and intestinal detoxification
A healthy liver and intestine help eliminate excess hormones and toxins, thus preventing uterine imbalances:
- Keep sufficiently hydrated with water and herbal teas: nettle, raspberry, dandelion, etc.
- Eat fiber for proper elimination: legumes, seeds, green vegetables, etc.
- Choose foods rich in prebiotics and probiotics for a balanced microbiota : sea mosskefir, sauerkraut, miso
You see? 3 simple principles that work for everyone.
You have all the keys you need to successfully care for your uterus in a way that respects your whole being.
If you have any questions, ask me in the comments and I'll be happy to answer them or create a new article in response to your needs.
Take care ladies 🙂
